Rustam Emomali: We Will Submit a Joint Bid to Host the Asian Cup in Central Asia

DUSHANBE, 03.05.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The President of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) Rustam Emomali, in his speech at the CAFA Congress in Dushanbe, said that the countries of Central Asia will submit a joint bid to host the 2031 or 2034 Asian Cup, reports the Football Federation of Tajikistan.
“Our Central Asian region has never hosted the Asian Cup. I think the time has come. Our region is represented by very strong teams. I am sure that together we will hold the Asian Cup at the highest level. We have decided that we will submit a joint bid to host the 2031 or 2034 Asian Cup in Central Asia,” said CAFA President Rustam Emomali.
The President of the Asian Football Confederation Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, in his speech at the CAFA Congress, supported the initiative of the CAFA President and said that this region deserved to host the Asian Cup among national teams.
