Sughd Region Produces Industrial products Worth More Than 12.1 Billion Somoni

DUSHANBE, 19.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – In the first half of 2023, industrial products worth more than 12.1 billion somoni were produced in the Sughd region, compared to the same period last year, growth was provided by 111.1%, taking into account the price index.
During this period, the production of the main types of products increased, 150.4 thousand tons of flour, 2395.8 tons of vegetable oil, 16382.8 tons of bread and bakery products, 6720.0 thousand conventional cans of various canned goods, 6454.3 thousand decaliters of soft drinks were produced.
In honor of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence, 150 new industrial enterprises and workshops are planned to be commissioned in 2023, as a result of the measures taken, 162 new enterprises and workshops with 1,146 new jobs were launched in the region within 6 months of 2023.
In cooperation with relevant structures, entrepreneurs and labor communities, 3 new sewing workshops with 16 new jobs were created within six months of this year.
During this period, the sewing enterprises of the region produced products worth 155.4 million somoni, which is 2.0 million somoni more than in the same period last year. Also, 392,582 units of school uniforms were sewn during this period.
11 shoe enterprises and workshops have been established in the region, in January — June of this year, shoe production increased to 311.6 thousand pairs, which is 22.4% more compared to the same period last year.
