Tajikistan and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank Discuss Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 11.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Minister of Finance of Tajikistan Fayziddin Kahhorzoda met with Vice President — Corporate Secretary of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank Ludger Shuknekht.
The parties exchanged views on topical investment issues, especially in the energy and other real sectors of the economy, and expressed their proposals.
It should be noted that on May 17, 2023, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, during a meeting with President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank Jin Liqun in Beijing, said that Tajikistan has all the opportunities and resources to cooperate with the Bank on the implementation of projects for the final processing of agricultural products, useful minerals, further financing the development of «green» infrastructure in the areas of transport, energy, housing and communal services and urban management.
In order to implement these steps, Schuknecht arrived in Tajikistan a few days ago. In order to strengthen cooperation with Tajikistan during this trip, he held meetings and conversations with the heads of several ministries and departments.
