President of Mongolia Calls Rogun HPP a Strategic Facility for the Entire Region

DUSHANBE, 25.07.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – As part of his state visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh today visited the Rogun Hydropower Plant — the largest infrastructure project of the century — to observe the progress of its construction.
The Mongolian President was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Usmonali Usmonzoda and other senior officials.
During the visit, the delegation toured the plant’s key infrastructure, including the stationary intake structures, tunnel outlet zones (ST-4), main power distribution areas, and the turbine hall.
Following the visit, President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh praised the scale and quality of the Rogun Hydropower Plant construction, describing it as a strategically important facility for the entire region.
