Somon Mahmadbekov Wins Gold Medal at the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games

DUSHANBE, 25.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, Tajik judoka Somon Mahmadbekov won a gold medal at the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games.
In the first round, Mahmadbekov defeated Muayad Thwaib from Palestine and reached the quarter-finals. In the quarter-finals, Tajik athlete won over Kyrgyz Asad Masabirov and entered the semi-finals, where he beat Kazakh judoka Abylaikhan Zhubanazar.
In the final, Mahmadbekov competed with Lee Junwan from South Korea and won the gold medal.
