Tajikistan and the Global Environment Facility Will Develop Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 14.02.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On the sidelines of the 14th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS COP14), on February 12, the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection of Tajikistan Bahodur Sheralizoda met with the Director of the Global Environment Facility Carlos Manuel Rodriguez.
The meeting focused on climate change, loss of biological diversity, environmental pollution and other important related issues.
Sheralizoda also mentioned the country’s global initiatives to promote and solve water and climate issues at the global level and their implementation by environmental funds and development partners.
The parties agreed to strengthen cooperation between Tajikistan and the Global Environment Facility in the field of biological diversity, climate change and environmental protection.
