Issue of Preparation for the Tajik-Uzbek Investment Forum Discussed in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 13.03.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – As of January 1, 2024, 90 enterprises with a share of entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan were registered in Tajikistan. During the period 2007-2023, $74.1 million of capital entered the economy of Tajikistan. It was emphasized at the meeting of the Chairman of the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management Sulton Rahimzoda with the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov in Dushanbe.
The meeting also focused on the current state and prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of investment, including priority projects, attracting direct investment, holding an investment forum and the activities of the investment company of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The parties expressed their readiness for further cooperation in the field of financing priority projects by attracting the private sector and investment companies of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, increasing the volume of direct investments, as well as holding an investment forum as part of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan in the first six months of 2024.
