Gross Agricultural Output in Tajikistan Reaches More Than 6 Billion Somoni in First Four Months of 2025

DUSHANBE, 30.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan’s gross agricultural output across all farm categories totaled 6.094 billion somoni from January to April 2025, marking a 7.7% increase compared to the same period in 2024, the Agency on Statistics of Tajikistan reported.
Crop production amounted to 940.4 million somoni, up 8.9%, while livestock production reached 5.154 billion somoni, a 7.4% rise. Public farms accounted for 16.7% of total output, with regional shares including Sughd Region at 28.4%, Khatlon Region at 8.1%, Gorno-Badakhshon Autonomous Region (GBAO) at 0.2%, and Cities and Districts of Republican Subordination (CDRS) at 18.3%. Dehkan farms contributed 16.4%.
Household farms formed 66.9% of total agricultural production, including 96.9% in GBAO, 66.7% in Sughd, 63.3% in Khatlon, and 73.1% in RSA.
