Japan Expresses Readiness to Expand Energy Cooperation with Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 16.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On May 14, Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan, Daler Juma, held a meeting with the Ambassador of Japan to Tajikistan, Keiko Furuta, to discuss bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy and water resources.
Minister emphasized that the Government of Tajikistan attaches great importance to expanding its partnership with Japan, particularly in the energy sector.
Ambassador expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral relations and reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to further enhancing cooperation aimed at promoting sustainable energy development.
Both sides confirmed their readiness to deepen collaboration, share expertise, and attract investment into priority areas of Tajikistan’s energy sector.
