DUSHANBE, 20.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The southern districts of Khatlon Region — Shahritus, Kubodiyon, Dusti, Jaloliddini Balkhi, and Jayhun — have exported a total of 222 tons of agricultural products, according to the Executive Body of State Authority of Khatlon Region.
The products were delivered by road to Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. The shipments included 100 tons of early onions, 100 tons of apricots, 22 tons of beets, and a smaller quantity of cabbage.
To ensure the efficient and secure export of agricultural goods, a local branch of the State Unitary Enterprise “Tajagropromexport” has been established in Khatlon with the support of the Export Agency under the Government of Tajikistan. This initiative forms part of the national export strategy and reflects ongoing efforts to support farmers, boost the economy, and promote Tajikistan’s natural products on international markets.
As part of these efforts, a “Single Window” system has been introduced in the region this year, significantly streamlining the export process for agricultural producers and reducing bureaucratic barriers to cross-border trade.
