Tajikistan and OSCE Continue Strengthening Cooperation in Education

DUSHANBE, 20.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On May 15, the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Tajikistan, Homid Hoshimzoda, met with Senad Komenitsa, the representative of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), to discuss further collaboration in the education sector.
During the meeting, it was underscored that the Government of Tajikistan attaches great importance to improving the education system. Efforts are underway to enhance the quality of education, expand educational infrastructure, and boost the country’s scientific potential.
The two sides also reviewed the ongoing cooperation under the Memorandum of Understanding on Education, which was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan and the OSCE in 2020.
Key topics included ongoing joint initiatives, such as the «Enhancing Media Capacity and Journalism Standards» project, which aims to align Tajikistan’s journalism curriculum with international standards, fostering better media practices.
