Tajikistan, EBRD Discuss Capital Market Development in Riga

On the sidelines of the annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Riga, Latvia, Tajikistan’s First Deputy Finance Minister Yusuf Majidi met with Alexander Pivovarski to discuss bilateral financial cooperation and capital market development projects.
According to Tajikistan’s Finance Ministry, the sides reviewed ongoing cooperation between Tajikistan and the EBRD and discussed the implementation of projects related to the development of the country’s capital market.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral relations and noted the EBRD’s growing cooperation with both the public and private sectors in Tajikistan in recent years.
Majidi also met with Jerome Piruz to discuss currency risk hedging, access to international financial markets and the use of TCX Fund mechanisms for projects in Tajikistan.
