Tajik Delegation Participates in Silk Road E-Commerce Cooperation and Development Forum

DUSHANBE, July 24, 2026 (NIAT Khovar) – A delegation of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan participated in the Silk Road E-Commerce Cooperation and Development Forum, held in Xi’an, China, from July 21 to 23.
Held under the theme “Opportunities and Practices of E-Commerce in the Era of Artificial Intelligence,” the forum provided a platform for presenting Tajikistan’s achievements in advancing the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and the telecommunications sector.
Speaking at the forum, Deputy Head of the Communications Service Shohnazar Kholnazarzoda noted that Tajikistan is the first country in Central Asia to adopt a National Artificial Intelligence Development Strategy. He also highlighted the country’s progress in expanding 5G networks, improving internet speeds, opening new southern transit routes, and implementing regional CASA projects.
The Tajik delegation invited international partners to invest in the CASA Digital Corridor, cooperate in the field of artificial intelligence, and support the development of e-commerce. It was emphasized that Tajikistan offers tangible opportunities for digital cooperation, supported by a favorable legal framework and a rapidly growing young market.
