Tajik-Belarusian businessmen noted the importance of the development of trade-economic cooperation in 2016
Dushanbe, 19.11.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The meeting of businessmen of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Belarus on expansion of trade and economic cooperation took place on November 17, in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the country. As NIAT “Khovar” correspondent was reported, the meeting was attended by heads and representatives of Belarusian leading companies and responsible workers of ministries and agencies of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The key issues in the priority areas on the expansion of bilateral cooperation in sectors of agriculture, industry, transport, construction, energy, engineering, communications, health care, support of small and large businesses, investment, as well as regional cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
According to information of Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to 32,7 mln USD in 2015. In particular, export made 2,8 mln. USD and import — 29,8 mln. USD.
“The main exporting products from Tajikistan to Belarus are cotton fiber, dried fruits, nuts and vegetables mixture. The main importing products from Belarus to Tajikistan are tractors, sugar, furniture, automobiles, productive livestock, medicines, as well as raw materials for the production of various products”, — reported source.
