Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia interested in expanding trade and economic ties
DUSHANBE, 02.04.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On April 1, in the city of Riyadh, with the assistance of the Embassy of Tajikistan, the second meeting of the Tajik-Saudi Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation began its work.
According to the Embassy of Tajikistan in Saudi Arabia, during the discussion of the issues of cooperation, the parties stressed the need to make wide use of the huge potential existing between the two countries. In particular, it was proposed to create a joint fund of direct investments and the Business Council of the two countries.
On April 2, the work of the commission will continue, following which a joint protocol will be signed. On the same day, a tourist forum will be held in Riyadh. Another similar forum will be held on April 3 in Jeddah city at the business center of the Kingdom.
The co-chairman of the joint commission from the Tajik side, Chairman of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management Farrukh Hamralizoda had productive meetings with the Executive Director of the Saudi Development Fund Yusuf Al-Bassam and the Deputy Chairman of the Saudi Investment Committee Ayid Al- Osaybi.
In Riyadh, the Chairman of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management Farrukh Hamralizoda is also expected to meet with Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of Saudi Arabia Majeed Al-Bawardi and Chairman of the Tourism Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Numon Abdugafforzoda with the Chairman of the Committee on Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Saudi Arabia Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.
The bilateral contacts of active entrepreneurs of both countries also inspire great hopes.
