Tajikistan Participated in the Trade Policy Review of Trinidad and Tobago
DUSHANBE, 24.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The delegation of Tajikistan headed by First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqi Zavqizoda participated and presented Tajikistan’s position in the Trade Policy Review (TPR) of Trinidad and Tobago on May 22 in the World Trade Organization (WTO) headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
The main purpose of Tajikistan’s participation was to get acquainted with the process and order of conducting this event, the methods of exchanging practical experience and holding discussions related to conducting the First TPR of Tajikistan in the WTO with the focal points of the organization.
The First TPR of Tajikistan is scheduled for April 2020 on the basis President Emomali Rahmon’s instructions. The relevant Action Plan was validated by the government of Tajikistan for the high level organization of this meeting.
