Tajik Juniors (U-16) Will Play in the Presidential Football Cup of Kazakhstan
DUSHANBE, 19.08.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – As part of the preparation for the Asian Championship in 2020, the Tajik junior team (U-16) will take part in the 12th international tournament for the Presidential Cup of Kazakhstan.
The tournament will be held from August 24 to August 28 in the Kazakh city of Nur-Sultan. Along with the Tajik, Armenian, Lithuanian, Kyrgyz, two Kazakh national teams will also take part in the tournament.
The Tajik team will play in Group B with Armenia (U-17) and Kazakhstan (U-16). Group A will feature teams from Kazakhstan (U-17), Lithuania (U-17) and Kyrgyzstan (U-16).
According to the tournament’s regulation, the teams will play in a circular system in one circle. Then the teams that rank in first places in their groups will meet in the tournament finals. The second place teams will play for bronze medals. The teams that finish last in their groups will play in the match for 5th and 6th places.
