Tajikistan Defeats Kuwait at the Asian U-16 Championship 2020 Qualifiers
DUSHANBE, 19.09.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The junior football team of Tajikistan (U-16) won its second consecutive victory in the qualifying tournament of the Asian Championship 2020 in Group A.
In the third round, Tajik juniors scored nine goals over the Kuwaiti team, reported the Football Federation of Tajikistan.
In another match of this group, the Jordanian team beat Sri Lanka with a score of 7-0.
Thus, following three rounds, Tajikistan and Jordan with six points each lead the standings in Group A.
Tomorrow, the Tajik team will play against their Nepali peers at 22:00 Dushanbe time. In another match, Jordan will play against Kuwait.
According to the results of the qualifying tournament, a total of 15 teams will move on to the Asian Championship 2020 that will be held in Bahrain from September 16 through October 3.
