Statistical Agency Names Fields with Highest and Lowest Salaries
DUSHANBE, 22.04.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – For the first months of this year, salaries have increased. The conclusion is based on the data provided by the Tajik Statistical Agency.
The official salary remains the main source of household cash income, contributing to 51.2% of the total revenue, while sales of agricultural products contribute another 5.4%.
“The average monthly salary in February 2020 is 1347 somoni, which is a 4.7% increase compared to February of last year,” reports the Agency.
The Statistical Agency has also provided information on salaries in various sectors.
The highest salary, 2631 somoni, is received by workers in the mining industry. Construction employees get 2411 somoni, those in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning receive 2164 somoni, 1654.55 somoni is the highest salary in the processing industry, and 931 somoni in the water supply, treatment, waste treatment and raw materials processing. The average salary in the real sector for February 2020 is 1716 somoni, which is an increase of 6.0% compared to February 2019.
In the services sector, the highest salary, 3309 somoni, goes to the employees of financial intermediation and insurance, 1956 somoni is in the transport sector and cargo storage and 1363 somoni is the highest salary for those in real estate operations. The average monthly salary in the service sector for February 2020 is 1252 somoni, which is an increase of 4.4% compared to last year.
The lowest salary, 616 somoni, in the economy’s real sector is in agriculture, forestry and fisheries.
According to the Agency of Labor and Employment of the Population, in late February, 71,000 people were looking for work, which is 6.3% less than in the corresponding period in 2019.
