DUSHANBE, 03.09.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday at midnight, the reservoir of Norak HPP, the main source of hydropower in Tajikistan, was filled with water to the maximum level, reports the head of Barki Tojik press center Nozir Yodgori.
He noted that the government’s plans for termination and limitation of electricity to neighboring countries, as well as technical measures taken by Barki Tojik management and specialists created an opportunity to reserve water in the required volume for the production of electricity in the autumn-winter period in the country’s main reservoir.
Barki Tojik informs consumers that the rational use of electricity during the entire forthcoming autumn-winter season 2020-2021 is an important factor in providing the country with electricity.
