Tajik and Kazakh Business Circles Expand Cooperation in the Context of the COVID-19 Pandemic

DUSHANBE, 02.12.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan is an active supporter of expanding long-term trade and economic relations with Kazakhstan. This was stated during the meeting of the Tajik and Kazakh business circles, which took place online.
The event was held to expand economic cooperation and strengthen mutually beneficial bilateral trade relations between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Tajikistan, the Consulate General of Tajikistan in Almaty and the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan Atameken.
The Consul General of Tajikistan in Almaty Bahodur Nazir, CCI Deputy Chairman Odil Sangov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan Atameken Nariman Abilshaikov took part in the online meeting.
Kazakh entrepreneurs are quite active in the Tajik market. Today, over 80 companies with the participation of Kazakh investments are registered in Tajikistan, and companies with the participation of Tajik investments operate in Kazakhstan.
An analysis of the existing economic opportunities of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan shows that there is tremendous potential for more effective cooperation and increasing trade between the two countries.
A presentation of investment and tourism opportunities of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan took place within the business meeting.
