Tajikistan and EBRD Discuss Implementation of Joint Projects

DUSHANBE, 26.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The implementation of public investment projects, priority areas for investment, including the construction of the Roghun HPP, the creation of joint ventures in free economic zones to process domestic raw materials into competitive goods were discussed yesterday by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavki Zavkizoda, EBRD Managing Director for Central Asia Zsuzsanna Hargitai, and head of the EBRD Resident Office in Tajikistan Rika Ishii.
The parties also discussed the possibilities of building logistics centers, the effective implementation of the Medium-Term Program for Digital Economic Development in Tajikistan for 2021-2025, and the provision of technical assistance in developing an action plan for the green economy.
It was noted that the EBRD seeks to strengthen its activities in Tajikistan to implement green economy projects, and improve the management of state-owned enterprises in accordance with international standards.
