Tajik Boxers Complete Their Part at the World Championships in Belgrade

DUSHANBE, 02.11.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik boxers completed their performances at the AIBA Men’s World Boxing Championships in Belgrade, reports the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan.
Yesterday, two Tajik boxers Bahodur Usmonov and Shabbos Negmatulloev entered the ring in the 1/8 finals. In the weight category +80 kg, Negmatulloev lost to Keylan Cassidy (Ireland), and in the weight category +63.5 kg, Usmonov lost to Somchay Wongsuwan (Thailand).
On October 31, two of Tajik athletes lost to their rivals. In the weight category +60 kg, Abdurahmon Yokubov lost to Alex De La Cruz Baez from the Dominican Republic, and in the weight category +92 kg, Kurbonov lost to the Indian boxer Narenda.
The event will run until November 6.
