Tajikistan and Austria Hold Business Meeting

DUSHANBE, 09.11.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On November 6, the Tajik-Austrian business meeting took place with the participation of government officials and other interested circles of the two countries. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as the implementation of joint projects in priority areas.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sharaf Sheralizoda stressed the need to further strengthen constructive ties between the private sector of the two countries in the fields of renewable energy, green economy, industry, digitalization, modern technologies, pharmaceuticals, tourism, and other areas of mutual interest.
He also noted the necessity of utilizing modern tools for the development of economic, trade, and investment cooperation, such as investor forums, business forums and joint industry exhibitions to contribute to this process.
The leadership of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the two countries, companies and entrepreneurs presented investment opportunities and exchanged views on establishing direct cooperation using the untapped potential of the both countries.
The event was attended by representatives of more than 60 companies.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed mutual interest in further strengthening cooperation.
