Khatlon Increases Export Volume 2.4 Fold

BOKHTAR, 24.12.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – In September-October 2021, more than 60 industrial and non-industrial facilities were active in the Khatlon region. This was stated during the ninth session of the regional Assembly of People’s Deputies, which took place on December 23 in Bokhtar.
More than 289 facilities were opened this year, which contributes to the socio-economic development of the region.
According to statistics, as of December 1, the region’s trade turnover reached $7.4 billion, and the foreign trade turnover for 11 months of this year reached $513.2 million, which is 185.7% increase compared to the same period last year.
The volume of exports amounted to $161 million, and imports reached $352.2 million. During this period, export growth increased 124.9%.
Over 116,000 tonnes of agricultural products were exported during the same period.
For the 11 months of this year compared to the same period last year, the volume of exports of agricultural products exceeded the forecast by 21,100 tonnes.
