Khujand and CSKA Rivals at the 2022 AFC Cup Group Stage Revealed

DUSHANBE, 18.01.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the draw for the group stage of the 2022 AFC Cup took place at the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in Kuala Lumpur, following which the rivals of Tajik clubs Khujand and CSKA were revealed.
Two groups were formed in the new AFC Cup in the Central Zone — one group of four teams, and the other made up of three teams.
Khujand will play in Group F against Dordoi (Kyrgyzstan) and Kopetdag (Turkmenistan).
AFC Cup debutant CSKA will play in Group E with Nasaf or Sogdiana (Uzbekistan), Altyn Asyr (Turkmenistan) and Neftchi (Kyrgyzstan).
The best teams of the groups will play in the 2022 AFC Cup zonal final. The winner will reach the next round of the tournament and will receive $100,000.
If Karshi’s Nasaf enters the group stage of the 2022 AFC Champions League, the silver medalist of the championship of Uzbekistan, Sogdiana will play in the 2022 AFC Cup. If Nasaf fails to qualify for the Champions League group stage, they will continue their performance in the 2022 AFC Cup.
