Head of the Customs Service: Export of Foods to Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Turkey and Afghanistan Increased in 2021

DUSHANBE, 03.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the head of the Customs Service Khurshed Karimzoda said that last year Tajikistan traded with more than 120 countries.
According to him, the share of minerals and concentrates in the export of domestic goods was 19.2% or more than $343 million, that of aluminum reached 7.6% or $135 million, for cotton fiber it was 11.3% or $202.6 million, for cement 2.6% or more than $46 million, cotton yarn reached 2.9% or $51.9 million, and fruits and vegetables 2% or $36 million.
Karimzoda added that 32% or $572 million of the total exports went to CIS countries and 68% or $ 1.21 million to other foreign countries. The main exports of goods to Kazakhstan amounted to 20.2%, Turkey — 13%, China — 8.9%, Uzbekistan — 7.1%, Belgium — 5%, Afghanistan — 4.6% and Russia — 4.1%.
In 2021, compared to 2020, exports to Italy decreased by $4.9 million, Kyrgyzstan — by $4.2 million, but this indicator to Kazakhstan increased by $134.4 million, China — $125.2 million, Uzbekistan — $44.3 million, Russia $31.5 million, Turkey $29.2 million and Afghanistan $13.2 million.
