Three Tajik Boxers Started with a Victory at the Asian Championship

DUSHANBE, 04.03.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik athletes won first places during the Asian Youth and Junior Boxing Championship. The event is taking place in Amman, Jordan.
On the first day, six Tajik boxers entered the ring, three of whom won.
In the weight category up to 46 kg, Anushervon Fozilov defeated Mandakh Tsogbadrah from Mongolia, Jafar Hakimov was stronger than the Yemeni boxer Muhammad Ghazi Al-Wah in the weight up to 50 kg, and Rustamjon Ashurov in the the weight category up to 60 kg won the fight against Kyrgyz Renat Shar.
Three other boxers from Tajikistan Meroj Sufijonov (up to 48 kg), Damir Muybalikhonov (up to 52 kg), and Mirzobakhtiyorkhon Ataev (up to 70 kg) completed their performances at the start of the competition.
More than 350 athletes from 21 countries are participating in the championship.
The tournament will last 12 days. The finals are scheduled for March 13 and 14.
