DUSHANBE, 27.07.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – From July 23 through July 24, specialists of the Korean National Railway Company visited the Kulob free economic zone.
The main purpose of visit is to discuss issues related to strengthening cooperation in the development of a feasibility study for the construction of a railway line to the Kulob FEZ for proposal to investors in South Korea.
The guests were provided with detailed information on the construction of the necessary infrastructure, new industrial enterprises, investment opportunities in this zone, its priority areas, benefits provided by the government, existing legislative requirements of the industry and other issues.
They were informed that the distance between the Kulob railway station and the Kulob FEZ is 18 km, and the creation of modern enterprises in this territory can create a sustainable basis for increasing the number of transportation of goods and products, developing transport infrastructure, especially railways and logistics services.
Along with this, despite the availability of a transport road, in order to further facilitate transportation, taking into account the best practices of South Korea, it was considered important to attract Korean capital in connection with the development and implementation of the project for the construction of a railway line to the Kulob FEZ.
This factor can lay a solid foundation for attracting more domestic and foreign capital, building new industrial enterprises, creating new jobs and further developing this region.
Tajik officials expressed their readiness to assist in the practical implementation of the project for the construction of a railway line in the Kulob FEZ and are deeply interested in the timely collection and provision of the necessary materials in this direction.
