Western Union Received License to Operate in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 04.10.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Western Union Network (France) was issued a license to operate as an operator of the Western Union payment system for a period of five years, the National Bank of Tajikistan reported.
The initiative was implemented by the decision of the Board of the National Bank of Tajikistan dated September 30, in accordance with bills of Tajikistan on payment services and payment systems, on licensing certain types of activities, and on the National Bank of Tajikistan.
Based on this decision, the Payment System Department of the National Bank of Tajikistan was obliged to make an appropriate entry in the Register of Payment System Operators. Western Union international money transfer system operates in more than 200 countries. It has 190 service points in Dushanbe.
