DUSHANBE, 02.11.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, an extraordinary election meeting of the National Conference of the Taekwondo Federation (WT) of Tajikistan was held at the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan.

The meeting was attended by members of the federation, coaches, judges, and representatives of athletes.

The meeting focused on the resignation of the chairman and the election of a new chairman.

Jahonzeb Karmishev, who has been the chairman of the Taekwondo Federation (WT) of Tajikistan since 2017, resigned recently.

With the unanimous support of the participants, Director of the Agency for Public Procurement of Goods, Works and Services under the Government of Tajikistan Zainullo Sharifzoda was elected to serve as the new chairman of the Taekwondo Federation (WT) of Tajikistan.

Sharifzoda emphasized that the Tajik athletes must receive a ticket for this sport to the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

At his suggestion, Karmishev was elected as the First Vice-Chairman, and Parviz Sobirzoda as the Vice-Chairman.
