Tajikistan and the EU Discuss Two Agreements in Samarkand

DUSHANBE, 18.11.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Today in Samarkand, on the sidelines of the 18th ministerial meeting of the countries of Central Asia and the European Union and the Connectivity Conference of the EU and Central Asia: “Global Gateway”, Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan Daler Juma and Deputy General Director of the EU Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) Marieta Jager discussed two agreements.
According to Juma, the agreements discussed elate to the energy and water spheres. The first agreement is aimed at technical assistance. The amount of technical assistance is € 15 million. The second agreement is aimed at the water sector, the amount of which is €14 million.
He also added that these agreements have not only national but also regional significance.
“Within the framework of these agreements, Tajikistan is also developing cooperation with other countries,” Juma mentioned.
