Over 12.6 Billion Somoni Will Be Allocated for the Development of Tajikistan’s Real Economy in 2023

DUSHANBE, 08.12.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – More than 12.6 billion somoni (over $1.2 billion) is planned to be allocated for the development of the real economy of Tajikistan next year. These funds are provided for by the state budget for 2023.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the draft state budget for next year provides for the allocation of more than 12.6 billion for the development of the economy, which is equal to 9.8% of the GDP.
More than 6 billion of this amount will be directed to the development of the fuel and energy sector. The industry’s priority is to finance the construction and reconstruction of large hydropower plants in the republic.
In general, economic growth in 2023 is envisaged at the level of 7.8%.
According to the forecast, the volume of the GDP will be 127.3 billion somoni.
State budget revenues from all sources of income are planned in the amount of 37.1 billion somoni. The expenditure side will amount to 38.1 billion somoni.
