DUSHANBE, 03.02.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, in Russia, the delegation of Tajikistan took part and delivered speech at the second meeting of the chairmen of the parliamentary committees (commissions) of the CSTO member states, whose competence includes issues of international relations, defense and security.

The speakers stressed that at present the military-political situation in the world remains difficult, and international security is facing serious problems.

The agenda of the meeting focused on the issues “On further coordination of the activities of parliamentary delegations of the CSTO member states in parliamentary international organizations,” “On cooperation of the CSTO PA with international organizations and prospects for expanding the number of observers and partners of the CSTO PA,” “Statement of the CSTO PA, the adoption of which possible in 2023,” “On draft amendments and additions to the Regulations on the participation of the CSTO PA in international control over elections and referendums (November 29, 2021)” and “On possible proposals by the parliaments of the CSTO member states on amendments and additions to the general requirements for parliamentary monitoring of the military-political situation in the Organization’s collective security regions (April 16, 2015).”
