Tajik Representative Attends the Meeting of Heads of Tourism Authorities of the SCO Member States

DUSHANBE, 17.03.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Chairman of trhe Committee for Tourism Development of Tajikistan Kamoliddin Muminzoda took part and spoke in a virtual format a meeting of the heads of tourism authorities of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which was held in Varanasi (India).
It was noted that the steady development of the tourism sector plays an important role in improving the socio-economic situation of states. The tourism sector in Tajikistan is one of the priority areas of national development with special cultural and historical specifics, charming nature, healing waters, high mountains, flora and fauna, and other factors.
The meeting focused on the creation of new tourist routes and the prospects for existing routes in terms of safe tourism, expanding investment cooperation in the field of tourism, and exchanging experience in the development of tourism infrastructure.
Also, the participants adopted relevant decisions that are considered important for the development of tourism among the SCO states.
