DUSHANBE, 23.06.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 20, Beijing hosted a ceremony of awarding certificates of conferring the honorary title «Goodwill Ambassador of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization» on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the establishment of the Organization.

The SCO Secretary General presented a certificate of conferment of the honorary title «Goodwill Ambassador of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization» and a badge of the Organization to the Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan, Olympic champion Dilshod Nazarov and Chairman of the Academy of Arts, People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Akmal Nuriddinov.

According to the Regulations on the honorary title «Goodwill Ambassador of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization» approved at the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO Member States in Samarkand in 2022, the nominated candidates were agreed by the Council of National Coordinators and approved at the Ministerial Council Meeting.

The following representatives were included in the first group of goodwill ambassadors: Wu Weishan (China), Mikhail Shvydkoi (Russia), Dilshod Nazarov (Tajikistan), and Akmal Nuriddinov (Uzbekistan).
