National Bank of Tajikistan and the International Finance Corporation Discuss Cooperation Development

DUSHANBE, 16.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – As part of the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Hokim Kholikzoda and the Minister of Finance Faiziddin Kahhorzoda met with the regional Vice President of the International Finance Corporation Hela Cheikhrouhou in Morocco.
It was noted that the International Finance Corporation is one of the reliable partners of the National Bank of Tajikistan and, by providing technical assistance plays an important role in increasing the level of corporate governance of the country’s banking sector, protecting consumer rights, improving the regulatory framework, promoting the development of modern banking systems and digital financial services.
The National Bank of Tajikistan, together with the International Finance Corporation, has done significant work to develop the National Financial Inclusion Strategy for 2022-2026.
The parties expressed hope that cooperation between the National Bank of Tajikistan and the International Finance Corporation will continue to develop and expand.
