Tajikistan Increases Production and Export of Aagricultural Products

DUSHANBE, 02.02.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – According to the Road Map signed between the Ministries of Agriculture of Tajikistan and Russia for 2024-2026, in 2024, Russia will import 50,000 tons of oilseeds to Tajikistan, in turn Tajikistan will export agricultural products to Russia. It was reported yesterday by the Minister of Agriculture Kurbon Hakimzoda during a press conference.
It was noted that 287,000 tons of agricultural products were exported in 2023, which is 14.7 thousand tons, or 5.4% more than in the same period in 2022.
“The first batch of oilseeds is expected to arrive in February,” said the Minister of Agriculture.
In 2023, the volume of agricultural production in Tajikistan reached 63028.4 million somoni, which is 109.0% more than in 2022.
