Tajikistan Exports Food Industry Products Worth Over $50 Million in 2023

DUSHANBE, 09.02.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan exported food industry products abroad in the amount of $50.1 million in 2023, which is 17.6 percent, or $7.5 million more than in 2022. The figure in 2022 was $42.6 million. It was reported by the Minister of Industry and New Technologies Sherali Kabir on February 8 during a press conference.
In particular, last year 81,800 tons of dried fruits, 27,400 tons of soft drinks, 577 tons of salt, 1,900 tons of canned fruits and vegetables, 7,100 tons of flour, 445,9 tons of confectionery products and 664 tons of gelatin.
Kabir added that the increase in export volumes was carried out mainly due to dried fruits — by 1.6 times, soft drinks — by 1.7 times, animal feed — by 2 times, and flour — by 113.4%.
