Opening Direct Flights between Dushanbe and London Discussed in UK

DUSHANBE, 16.08.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – A meeting of representatives of the civil aviation sector of Tajikistan and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland was held in London.
The meeting focused on issues related to the development of air links, including the opening of direct flights between Dushanbe and London.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Habibullo Nazarzoda, the General Director of Somon Air Abulkosim Valiev, the Deputy General Director of Dushanbe International Airport Ahliddin Malikzoda and the Senior Manager of Heathrow Airport for Air Networks Ben Hoskins.
On July 24, during a press conference, Nazarzoda noted that the necessary measures are being taken to open direct flights between Dushanbe and London.
Following the agreement of the parties, flights in this direction are expected to be carried out by Somon Air and British Airways.
On March 28, 2024, a memorandum of cooperation was signed in Dushanbe between the Republic of Tajikistan and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
