Agenda for CIS Heads of Government Council meeting announced

DUSHANBE, 27.08.2024 (NIAT Khovar) — CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev has announced the agenda for the meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council due in Russia on 7-8 November, BelTA has learned.
According to him, the agenda for the meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council includes 20 documents. «All of them relate mainly to economic cooperation. Two matters are devoted to cooperation in transport, one more to cooperation in civil shipbuilding. A number of issues focus on humanitarian cooperation. About ten matters concern financial cooperation: financing different types of activities within the CIS,» Sergei Lebedev said.
«A major issue to be discussed at the meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council will be to remove obstacles in mutual trade,» the secretary general noted.
According to Sergei Lebedev, preparations for the meeting are on schedule.
The CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives will convened for a session at the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk. The permanent representatives are set to discuss the agenda for the next meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council due in Russia on 7-8 November and to consider the candidacy to the post of the head of the CIS observation mission for the elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
