DUSHANBE, 23.01.2025 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On January 22, Moscow hosted the first meeting of the CIS Commission on Economic Issues at the CIS Economic Council, chaired by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation, Gulmakhmadzoda, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Commission, during which a wide range of issues of economic cooperation between the CIS member states were considered, reports Khovar, citing Tajik Embassy in Russia.
The meeting presented The concept of the Presidency of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2025 and the Action Plan for its implementation.
A meeting attendee considered more than ten issues on the agenda, which cover various areas of multilateral cooperation of the CIS member states, and made appropriate decisions. The CIS chairmanship passed from Russia to Tajikistan in 2025. The Commonwealth is co-chaired by Russia and Turkmenistan, which will assume the chairmanship in the future.
