Tajikistan Develops 22 Documents on Tourism Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 14.02.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – In 2024, in agreement with ministries and departments, 22 documents were developed to develop mutually beneficial cooperation with strategic partners and international organizations in the field of tourism. It was announced today at a press conference by the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Jumakhonzoda.
According to him, during the reporting period, 6 documents on cooperation were signed as part of high-level visits, another document was supported by Turkmenistan, 15 documents are under consideration by other parties.
“To date, 27 documents on cooperation have been signed with such foreign countries as the UAE, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Switzerland, France, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Pakistan, Belarus, Qatar, Kuwait, Italy,” said Jamshed Jumakhonzoda.
In order to develop the country’s tourism industry and present its potential, especially medical, ecological tourism and mountaineering, 46 events were held at the local level, as well as 25 events at the international level.
In order to present the country’s tourism opportunities, the Committee took an active part in international tourism exhibitions, namely the United States of America, Great Britain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the People’s Republic of China, Malaysia, Kuwait, Qatar, Germany, Russia, Turkiye, Iran, Albania, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
