Tajikistan and Spain Strengthen Tourism Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 20.02.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On February 19, the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Jumakhonzoda met with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Tajikistan Luis Francisco.
According to the Committee, the parties discussed the development of cooperation in the field of tourism and assistance to the private sector in participating in international tourism exhibitions held in each other’s countries.
The meeting also focused on the tourism potential of the states and the increase in the number of tourists from both sides.
It was presented the potential of Tajikistan with its beautiful and unique nature, rich history and culture, national dishes and customs that can attract European tourists, especially the Spanish.
On February 18, the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development Jamshed Jumakhonzoda also met with the Director of the Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED) Jan Severe.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation with a non-profit organization — the French Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development.
The parties also expressed their views on improving infrastructure and promoting tourism opportunities in Tajikistan, which attracted the attention of tourists and travelers.
