The national airline Tajik Air has decided to purchase two Airbus aircraft through financial leasing, it was announced on January 28 during a press conference summarizing the activities of the Civil Aviation Agency and the country’s aviation enterprises.

The issue was discussed in June 2025 in Paris during talks between Tajik Air CEO Parviz Shodmonzoda and Airbus Group Vice President Charbel Yozkatli.

According to Parviz Shodmonzoda, in 2025 Tajik Air successfully resolved a long-standing dispute with the Lithuanian company UAB Skyroad Leasing. As a result, the airline’s debt amounting to USD 36.6 million was fully repaid.

“In particular, the seizure of the Boeing 737-300 (EY-444) aircraft owned by Tajik Air, which had been parked at Vnukovo International Airport since 2019, has been removed,” the source noted. “This means that Tajik Air Open Joint Stock Company can now operate international flights without any restrictions.”
