Tajikistan and Iran Discuss Direct Investment Opportunities in Tajik Economy

DUSHANBE, 19.02.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan and Iran are strengthening cooperation to attract investment in priority sectors. This and other key investment-related issues were discussed during a working meeting of delegations from the two countries, held at the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management of Tajikistan, with broad participation from business leaders and investors.
The meeting was attended by Sulton Rahimzoda, Chairman of the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management of Tajikistan, and Seyed Mohammad Atabak, Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The parties explored opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation in industry, investment, and trade, implement joint projects, and attract direct investment into Tajikistan’s economy.
The meeting served as a constructive platform for dialogue between public authorities and the private sector, laying the groundwork for enhanced practical economic cooperation.
