Tajikistan and India Discuss Expanding Industrial and Technology Cooperation in New Delhi

Tajikistan is seeking to expand industrial and modern technology cooperation with India following meetings in New Delhi between Tajik and Indian officials.
Sherali Kabir, Tajikistan’s minister of industry and new technologies, met with Jitin Prasada, India’s minister of state for electronics and information technology. The sides discussed cooperation in information technology, artificial intelligence, data center development and other digital technologies.
Kabir also held talks with Piyush Goyal, India’s minister of commerce and industry, focusing on expanding bilateral cooperation in industry, trade and investment.
Particular emphasis was placed on cooperation in raw material processing, the light and food industries, the establishment of joint ventures and the expansion of ties between business communities. The parties agreed to convene the next meeting of the Tajikistan-India Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
They also exchanged views on the use of free economic and industrial zones in Tajikistan and India’s experience in industrialization and innovation.
