Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have signed a 2026-2027 cooperation plan aimed at expanding bilateral collaboration in public finance, economic policy and investment, Tajikistan’s Finance Ministry said.

The document was signed June 30 in Tashkent by Tajik Finance Minister Fayziddin Kahhorzoda and Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation in the economy, finance, trade and investment, and discussed opportunities to deepen coordination between their finance ministries.

Kahhorzoda outlined Tajikistan’s key macroeconomic indicators and ongoing public financial management reforms, according to the ministry.

The officials said ties between the neighboring countries have reached a new stage of development, attributing the progress to the leadership of President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the ministry said.
