Tajik Delegation Participates in 69th CIS Interstate Council Meeting on Standardization

DUSHANBE, 14.07.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – A delegation of Tajikistan led by Director of the Agency for Standardization, Metrology, Certification and Trade Inspection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahmon Islomidin participated in the 69th meeting of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology, Certification and Accreditation of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), held from July 8 to 12 in the Issyk-Kul region of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the Agency, the meeting addressed key issues related to the development of quality infrastructure, improvement of standardization systems, and advancement of metrology, certification and accreditation mechanisms.
During the meeting, the Protocol of the 69th session of the Interstate Council on Standardization, Metrology, Certification and Accreditation was signed.
The document includes important decisions aimed at further harmonizing interstate standards, developing metrology, certification and accreditation systems, improving the work of technical committees, expanding scientific and technical cooperation, and eliminating technical barriers to trade.
The decisions adopted are expected to contribute to strengthening economic and technical cooperation among CIS member states, developing quality infrastructure, increasing the competitiveness of products and services, and creating favorable conditions for expanding interstate trade.
As part of the meeting, winners of the CIS Award competition were also announced. From Tajikistan, the limited liability company “Shohasar” and the “Rumi” Hotel were awarded the highest honors.
The achievements demonstrate that Tajik enterprises and service providers have successfully implemented modern quality management systems and operate in accordance with international standards.
