Tajikistan, Kazakhstan deepen health care cooperation through medical forum

The Days of Medicine of Kazakhstan were held in Tajikistan from Aug. 25-27, bringing together health care professionals from the two countries for meetings, knowledge exchange and discussions on medical cooperation.
Three memorandums of understanding were also signed between relevant institutions in Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
According to Tajikistan’s Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population, the Tajikistan-Kazakhstan Forum on Cooperation in Health Care, Technology and Human Resources was held Aug. 27 in Dushanbe.
Tajik Health Minister Jamoliddin Abdullozoda said the medical days were organized as part of the constructive policies of the two countries’ leaders to strengthen friendship and expand bilateral cooperation in health care.
The forum focused on “Health Care Development: Modern Approaches, Innovations and Prospects for Cooperation” and “High-Tech Surgery: Innovation, Cooperation and Knowledge Transfer Between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.”
The event is expected to provide a foundation for further expanding health care cooperation, strengthening the professional knowledge and skills of medical specialists and introducing new diagnostic and treatment methods in Tajikistan’s health care system.
As part of the medical days, Kazakh specialists visited several national health care institutions in Tajikistan and exchanged experience with their Tajik counterparts.
